His journey, which spans over a decade, is a testament to how a game that initially did not catch his attention eventually became one of his favorite games.
“I DISCOVERED TIBIA IN A CYBER CAFE WHEN I WAS ONLY 9 YEARS OLD (I’M 26). I ONLY WATCHED AND THE TRUTH IS IT DIDN’T CATCH MY ATTENTION… 2 YEARS LATER THEY HELPED ME CREATE MY FIRST CHARACTER AND UNTIL THIS DAY WE’RE STILL HERE”.
That small push marked the beginning of what would become a remarkable and constant presence in the Tibia universe; highlighting the persistence and attachment he has developed for this iconic MMORPG. In Tibia there is a saying: “You will never forget your first dragon,” just as you will never forget your first character! For ElMoyt, his first character was named “Latarus Zack”; this name came from the suggestion option that Tibia offers when creating a new character.
“I REALLY LIKED THE NAME, IT WAS A CHAR I KEPT UNTIL AROUND 2019. A VERY BEAUTIFUL MEMORY I HAVE FROM THAT TIME WAS WHEN I MANAGED TO BUY MY MAGIC SWORD; AND I ACHIEVED THAT BY LOOTING ORC FORTRESS LOL”.
Currently, his character is named Elmoyt. This name comes from his YouTube channel, "ElMoy", and although there already exists a character with a similar name, he decided to add an extra "T" due to his affection for the game Tibia. Through this platform, he shares his experiences in the game to help other players, perhaps not as experienced, navigate this adventure. His strongest vocation has undoubtedly been elite knight, a class that represents strength and spirit.
“I MAINLY FOCUS ON SOLO KNIGHT CONTENT: HOW TO HUNT AS A KNIGHT?, HUNTING SPOTS, PROFIT AND EXP AREAS, SO UNTIL TODAY I BASICALLY STILL DO THE SAME”.
Among so many fun stories, there is one in particular that Elmoyt remembers with great enthusiasm; and it is none other than the story of his old character “Latarus Zack”.
“I ALWAYS TELL THIS STORY IN MY STREAMS, AND EVEN THOUGH IT HAPPENED MANY YEARS AGO, I STILL FIND IT REALLY FUNNY. IT HAPPENED WITH MY CHARACTER -LATARUS ZACK-, AROUND 2013 IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. BACK THEN, THE DEEPLINGS SCOUTS AREA IN THE CITY OF KAZORDOON WAS VERY POPULAR; EVERYONE WANTED TO HUNT THERE.
ONE TIME I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND THE RESPAWN OPEN (SINCE YOU NEEDED ABOUT 200 COALS TO ACTIVATE IT) AND COMPLETELY EMPTY. SHORTLY AFTER, I GOT PEKED; THE CURIOUS THING WAS THAT ANOTHER PERSON SUPPOSEDLY ARRIVED TO “HELP ME” AND STARTED ATTACKING MY AGGRESSOR, TELLING ME TO ATTACK AS WELL SO WE COULD KILL HIM. I STARTED ATTACKING AND THROUGH THE WHOLE CHASE, I ENDED UP TRAPPED IN KAZZ.
THE PERSON WHO CAME TO “HELP ME” STARTED THROWING UH OR IH ON THE GROUND FOR ME TO HEAL, BUT THAT PERSON DIDN’T KNOW THAT I WAS ACTUALLY PICKING THEM UP AND STORING THEM IN MY BP. LATER, I REALIZED THEY ALSO THREW A FIRE BOMB INTENDING FOR ME TO PLACE IT ON MYSELF, LOSE PZ, AND LET HIM LEVEL TO 8, GET KILLED, AND OBTAIN RED SKULL.
SINCE I DIDN’T FALL FOR THE TRAP, AND HE WAS ONLY ATTACKING ME WITH HIS WAND TO FIRST GET THE RED SKULL AND THEN ATTACK ME WITH SD, I MANAGED TO MESSAGE A FRIEND. HE ADVISED ME TO FULL HEAL AND LOG OUT WITH -X-. AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES, DURING WHICH MY ATTACKER WAS LOWERING MY HP LITTLE BY LITTLE WITH JUST HIS WAND, MY CHARACTER DISCONNECTED.
THE FUNNIEST PART IS THAT WHEN I LOGGED MY CHARACTER (FROM ANOTHER ACCOUNT) I SAW THAT THOSE SAME TWO PEOPLE STARTED WRITING IN THE TRADE CHANNEL THAT I, -LATARUS ZACK-, WAS A “GM”!
THEY WERE ASKING HOW IT WAS POSSIBLE THAT MY CHARACTER COULD LOG OUT IN THOSE CONDITIONS. HOURS LATER, WHEN I LOGGED BACK IN (WITH MAYBE 20 HP), THEY STARTED MESSAGING ME SAYING I WAS A “GM” AND ASKING ME NOT TO BAN THEM FOR PEKING ME!”.
There are many stories that go unnoticed, but without a doubt, this one is worth remembering! In the heat of Retro PvP or Open PvP, many things can happen. It was precisely in this environment that Elmoyt first experienced Tibia: playing Retro PvP on the old Eldera server (now known as Firmera). And although he has never participated in an official war, he has been in many fights where he had to defend himself and help his teammates. Additionally, one of the PvP figures he most admires is Punio, whom he considers one of the great masters of PvP in Tibia.
Adventures in Tibia are meant to be enjoyed, to break the routine, and to have fun with friends, teammates, or even by sharing entertaining content on social networks like YouTube and Twitch; however, there are people who take this beyond the screen…
“I FIND IT RIDICULOUS THAT THIS GOES BEYOND A SCREEN, I KNOW MANY THINGS CAN HAPPEN, BUT THIS IS JUST A GAME”.
Speaking a bit beyond 'wars' and confrontations, life is also about setting and achieving clear goals, whether short or long term. Right now, Elmoyt has a goal that motivates him: finishing the set of his beloved EK. This is not just any achievement; it is the result of great effort and constant dedication, something he has managed to accomplish through his own merit.
“MY GOAL THIS YEAR IS TO FINISH BUYING MY FULL SET; SOMETHING I COULDN’T AFFORD BEFORE… I ONLY NEED THE SANGUINE LEGS AND THE PAIR OF SOULWALKERS. MAYBE AFTER THAT I’LL AIM FOR LEVEL 1000”.
