Costume Contest • (Wicked Gala)

Xena, Dually, and Litty have gathered once again and are looking for the MOST TERRIFYING COSTUMES to go trick-or-treating this Halloween. Your mission is to dress up as any Tibia Boss that causes fear and choose one of our mascots’ faces to accompany your costume.

GENERAL RULES

The contest starts on October 17th, 2025 (Friday) and entries will be accepted until November 21st, 2025 - 17:00 CET.

Your mission is to create/design a SCARY COSTUME (HANDMADE BY YOU) using “recycled” materials or clothes you already have. (The costume CANNOT be bought; it must be made by you.)
Valid Example: You can use clothes you already own, BUT you must add details with other materials such as cardboard, glitter, bottle caps, paint, etc.
Invalid Example: Buying a pre-made costume and/or using clothes you already own without modifying them.
You must choose a Tibia Boss from the Bane, Archfoe, or Nemesis categories for your entry. EXCLUDED are bosses with a common human appearance.

Here we show you the examples of the EXCLUDED BOSSES, BUT IF YOU HAVE DOUBTS about your costume, please ask in the #preguntas-questions channel on Tibia Duality’s Discord.

Remember that if your Boss is within the BANE, ARCHFOE or NEMESIS category and IS NOT ON THE LIST BELOW, then IT IS ALLOWED! BUT if it appears on the list or IS NOT WITHIN any of those categories, it IS NOT PART OF THE ALLOWED BOSSES.

You may add extra details to your costume, such as blood, slime, drool, etc., to make it scarier. If you have doubts about what you plan to use, ask in the #preguntas-questions channel on the Tibia Duality Discord.

All costumes must be full-body — partial costumes are not allowed.
Example: If you decide to dress as “the handmaiden,” you cannot only dress your hand; the costume must cover at least three-quarters of your body.

If you do not wish to use the printed mask of our mascots, you may create your own mask of your chosen boss BUT it may not be printed; if you choose this option, you must make your mask manually following the rules.

The chosen costume must be crafted, painted, and/or decorated manually; you can use any type of material to decorate, but printed or digital materials are NOT allowed (3D printers, laser printers, or any machine that does the work for you).

It is MANDATORY to wear a mask to hide your face as part of your costume. These masks feature the faces of Xena, Dually, or Litty. The PNGs for all three options are provided at the end of the rules. (This is the ONLY printed material allowed, meant to preserve participants’ privacy.)

If you don’t want to use the printed mask, you may create your own mask, BUT it cannot be printed; if you choose this option, it must be made manually following the rules.

Your costume must be scary — the scarier, the better!

Tibia Magazine and Tibia Duality reserve the right to use/publish and share entries on their websites, social media, and other platforms.

Your entry must not contain images of explicit violence, sexual, or racist content.

If you have questions or doubts about the contest, you may ask in the #preguntas-questions channel on the Tibia Duality Discord server.

Please check the #preguntas-questions channel on the Tibia Duality Discord; there you’ll find frequently asked questions and answers from other participants. That way, you can clarify doubts before asking again.

Entries must be posted in the "wicked-gala" channel on the Tibia Duality Discord server .

You must submit ONLY 4 process photos and 2 final result photos — that is, 6 photos in total for your entry to be valid. In 1 of the final photos, you must appear holding the sign next to your setup or monitor with Tibia and your character VISIBLE in the background. Optionally, you can record a video showing your costume.
NOTE: Choose photos that show a coherent step-by-step process; simply moving objects around doesn’t count.

If your entry does not include the correct number and format of photos, it will be invalid.

All 6 photos must include a HANDMADE SIGN with the phrase: "Wicked Gala - Tm & Td 2025" (Please DO NOT INCLUDE your character’s name).

No editing is allowed in your work photos — this includes borders, decorations, text, use of editing software, adding or removing objects, or using ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.
USING THESE WILL RESULT IN AN INVALID ENTRY OR, IN THE WORST CASE, DISQUALIFICATION.

Your Discord post must include: Character name and server.

PLAGIARISM IS NOT ALLOWED. In case of suspicion, only the first submitted entry will be considered valid.

To participate, your character must be at least level 150+ and have at least 100 achievement points.

Your character MUST NOT be hidden on tibia.com during the event; if it is hidden, your entry will be invalid.

Using multiple accounts is PROHIBITED.

You may present your costume however you like, but the background/scenery will not be judged.

Participants may submit multiple entries, but can only win ONE prize/spot on the podium.
(PLEASE NOTE: Only ONE will be selected among the semifinalists — think carefully, this might prevent your favorite from being chosen.)

Your costume must be created specifically for this contest; reusing entries from past contests is not allowed.

Tibia Magazine and Tibia Duality Staff CANNOT participate in this contest.

The Tibia Duality administrator will react with an emoji on entries up to 1 day before the deadline, indicating whether they were accepted or not (and the reason). Entries sent at the last minute might not have time for corrections.

Entries that do not comply with all rules above WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED, NO EXCEPTIONS.

RECOMMENDATION: Do not submit your entry at the last minute, as there may not be time to fix errors. We don’t want anyone left out over something that could have been adjusted earlier.

REMEMBER: Your entry must be made by you and exclusively for the Tibia Magazine and Tibia Duality contest.

IMPORTANT: Tibia Magazine and Tibia Duality reserve the right to disqualify participants in cases of plagiarism, copying, product purchasing, or suspicion of rule violation.

NOTE: In order to avoid controversies and arguments among participants, any messages that are NOT sent respectfully, do not contribute constructively, and/or generate conflicts will be REMOVED from the channel. This also includes negative or rude emojis/reactions to messages or posts made by other players. We want to build a community based on mutual respect and peaceful communication, without the need to attack or feel attacked.
Repeated violations of this rule may result in a permanent ban from the Tibia Duality Discord.

WINNER SELECTION

Tibia Magazine and Tibia Duality Staff will select 10 entries to send to the Fansite Admin Forum and CipSoft’s Community Managers (CMs), who will vote to choose the top 5 winners.

What will we evaluate?

The creativity and originality of your costume.

The relation of your entry to Tibia and Halloween.

How scary your costume is.

The final aesthetic of your costume.

Compliance with the rules mentioned above.

IMPORTANT: Using “expensive” materials does not guarantee a podium spot — the goal is to encourage creativity among players.

REMEMBER: Your entry will be judged in 3 DIFFERENT STAGES by 10 to 15 different people, each with their own tastes and preferences.
